Deni Niethammer, Broker/Owner

​In 1998 I created the Hybrid MLS Listing Service to sell homes, and land, in Colorado and allow sellers to save thousands of dollars in commissions. The system is designed to provide you with all the advantages of the powerful MLS system and professional real estate expertise at a fraction of traditional real estate selling costs.

You won’t find anyone with a deeper understanding of the Hybrid MLS Listing model than the professional Realtors at The Resource Group, LLC. Our team has a unique position in the industry. For more than 25 years we have operated a successful low commission real estate company. Over those years thousands of home sellers, just like you, have saved hundreds of thousands of dollars using our Hybrid MLS program.

Experience counts! In 1998 after I saw the need for an alternative MLS service. My epiphany came before I got my real estate license. In 1997, I wanted to sell my $150,000 home in Aurora, Colorado. As the Realtor filled in his 6% commission on the listing contract, I thought to myself” Are you really worth $9,000?” That got me thinking. I was sure there was a more equitable way to work with homeowners who needed to sell, give them access to the MLS, provide services that are required by the Colorado Real Estate Commission and save them thousands of dollars in Realtor commissions. In 1998 I created The Resource Group, LLC and was among the first in Colorado, to offer low commission listings for home and land sellers.

I’ve always been interested in helping people. Prior to becoming a real estate professional, I was a Labor and Delivery RN for 23 years. I’ve has assisted in about 2,500 births in Colorado and North Carolina.

Greetings! Real Estate is a very interesting concept that has given everyone a chance to own a piece of their own paradise in one way or another with the freedom to upsize or downsize depending on their dreams and ambition.

All my life I have worked on homes in many different aspects that have greatly contributed to a well-rounded perspective and deep understanding of Real Estate. Starting as a teenager in Littleton Colorado I worked for approximately 10 years in landscape construction. Everything from retaining walls, flagstone patios and my all-time favorite job ever … building bio falls and waterfalls that flow into amazing, beautiful ponds! I had a tremendous amount of fun working with a great crew building stunning landscape projects. Primarily in Parker, Highlands Ranch, Roxborough Park, and Castle Rock areas.

After ending this pursuit, I moved to working indoors learning Home Construction, Renovation and Remodeling. For approximately 7 years – I got down and dirty with some very ugly disasters and returned them into habitable, modern, and comfortably cozy homes for new residents. Getting this experience allowed me then to work with specific clients in some very nice high-end homes that allowed me to really show off my skills to perfection and gave me the availability to perform the finest detailed work that really made me super happy!

My next adventure in Real Estate happened when I went to college for website design. Honestly all I learned from coding is completely outdated now. This ultimately led to obtaining my Real Estate license and joined The Resource Group back in 2008. I primarily worked behind the scenes doing all the data work putting Colorado properties in the MLS. With the 2008 market crash we had to develop a new way of doing Real Estate that helps our clients and that is how the “Flat Fee” industry really began. Some states remained Flat Fee service, however in Colorado we are required to take our clients to closing so we decided to do a Hybrid service. This method allowed us to charge a small upfront fee to cover our expenses and then charge a significantly reduced and affordable commission at closing. With all the feedback and popularity this method became successful (win – win!!). We have evolved through the years and did our absolute best to adapt with the times to keep this service available and affordable to our clients while bringing knowledge and professional service.

Fast forward to today – We are growing our business, expanded corner to corner in Colorado, bringing in new agent partners and keeping the listings and closings happening while saving our clients massive sums of money. As we should because honestly everything is done online now and we work to keep our overhead expenses low. It is a matter of time before the buyer agents reduce their cost as well. An online streamlined process has made closing Real Estate far more efficient. I mean seriously we can do both sides of the transaction for a total of 1% at closing – in some cases that saves more on the sale of a house than the cost of a new car! Alese Wordley, Broker Associate

I recently joined The Resource Group in Colorado to expand my knowledge and capabilities in real estate. In the last 30 years, I have gained life experience from teaching math and science, raising two beautiful daughters, as well as now working in property management. Since 2017 I have successfully managed 10 properties for a small management company, Executive Home Rentals, finding over 25 qualified tenants in the foothills of Colorado. My past experiences have taught me that success comes from commitment to discipline, resilience, and work ethic. I love working with people and have come to understand the importance of building and maintaining meaningful relationships.  

My husband and I have bought, sold, and built homes in Michigan, Texas, Wisconsin, and Colorado. It was an easy decision to join The Resource Group having bought our last home using Deni. It was one of the smoothest home purchases we’ve had. I am excited to help give people that same experience in finding their next home in the beautiful state of Colorado.

Tyler Waite, Broker Associate

As a Colorado native, I have enjoyed our beautiful state and been amazed at how it has developed over the years. After attending Jefferson County schools, CSU, CU and CCU (!), I began my real estate journey by offering innovative lease-purchase option homes in the Denver metro area.  As the Internet began to gain traction, I joined Realtor.com to educate Realtors in online marketing methods, and within a year became a Regional Manager,  overseeing representatives in Colorado, Arizona, Utah and Arizona. 
Just as my wife Jan and I were expecting our first daughter, I received an offer from one of our sister companies, Homebuilder.com, to relocate to Dallas as their Director of National Accounts for the top 30 homebuilders in the country. It was difficult to leave Colorado, but the opportunity was compelling and we decided to take the plunge!
After several years with Homebuilder.com, which is the official Internet site of the National Association of Homebuilders, I returned to Colorado and Realtor.com and managed the Denver and Chicago metro areas, before accepting the position Managing Broker for Team Lending Realty in Centennial.  
Through the years, my focus has always been on creating significant value for clients After completing a real estate transaction with Deni, I became convinced that the Hybrid MLS model she pioneered is able to deliver high value with professionalism and integrity.
